Last week, I was at NUH for work. It was boring there and the food is not that great. Thank god, I'm back to my office which is much nearer to my home. Last Friday, I went to watch V for Vendetta with KM and saw Duckie and his gal there.

V for vendetta

I think the movie is great as there are some interesting and funny parts and the scene which Natalie Portman has her hair been shaved off is classic but my favorite scene was when Natalie Portman went to look for V before he dies. She was standing at the jukebox which was playing my favorite song, Cry me a river by Julie London. It reminded me of someone.

I met him through a drinking place. We hit it off quite well and we went out for movies very often. We always go to Orchard Cineleisure for movies after my work. Before the movie starts, we will hang around this café, Buttercup café at 2nd floor. They always play nice jazz songs and I love their brownie with ice cream.

One day, while waiting for the show to start, we were sitting at the café having my favorite brownie when they play the song. I don't know what got into me, I wanted to dance with him but he rejected me as he was too shy even though there weren't a lot of diners around. I was disappointed but I let it be. When we were about to head up to the theatre, he pulls me in one corner and gave me the tightest hug he ever gave me and said "This is to make up for the dance. I promise we will dance the next time when we heard the song again regardless where we are."

In the end, we didn't as he decides to go back to his girlfriend. I was sad but I know it was coming. But I'm glad that he went back to his girlfriend because I know deep inside his heart, he love his girlfriend more than anything else and I wouldn't want to be the third party.

Here's the song..

Cry me a river by Julie London

Now you say you love me,
You cried the whole night through.
Well you can cry me a river,
Cry me a river,
I cried a river over you.

Now you say your sorry,
For bein' so untrue.
Well you can cry me a river,
Cry me a river,
I cried a river over you.

You drove me, nearly drove me,
Out of my head;
While you never shed a tear.

Remember, I remember,
All that you said;
You told me love was too plebian,
Told me you were through with me-

And Now you say you love me,
Well, just to prove you do, cry me a river,
Cry me a river,

I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you

Will you dance with me to this song?

    I am off to download that song...

    I was too engrossed in the storyline and missed the slightest melody of it...

    I loved Natalie Portman's acting when she's imprisoned. See how the transformation took place... :)
